Close Boarded Hinging System
These hinges are specifically designed for solid boarded gates such as the Kinnersley and Monnington where privacy is important and the gate needs to sit as close as possible to the posts or pier. A stainless steel strap is fitted to the top of the gate; this has a spigot that fits into the hole in the hanging strap. The hanging strap is either bolted to an oak post or existing pier or welded to the steel core of a new brick pier. The bottom of the gate has a shoe with a socket in it that fits onto a spigot in the ground or is welded to the automation mechanism. This system is unique to Oak Leaf Gates and provides the neatest solution for hanging solid gates.
